Coming to the path of adoption was an easy decision, we had always wanted to be parents and it didn’t matter how. After trying to adopt on our own, we found ourselves in a rut and decided to reach out to RG Adoption Consulting. The first call we had left us feeling excited about our journey once again, so we trusted our gut and signed up with RGAC. 

It turned out that our experience would be so much better for it. Our consultant, Devin, was amazing. He made us feel supported throughout the entire journey and comfortable enough to ask anything! With Devin by our side, we were able to trust the process, push through the difficult waiting period, and get encouragement and advice whenever we needed it….

And there were definitely moments when we needed it. In December of 2021, we discovered that we’d been involved in an adoption scam. It was heartbreaking, yet we kept going and hung in there through all the hurt. One of the most difficult parts was seeing other families get chosen over us. 

We kept faith through it all and eventually it happened for us too. The wait was long but all of that disappeared after holding our daughter. Seeing her older sister hold and kiss her had to be the sweetest thing in the world! We were far from home, but spending almost two weeks to just be the four of us was so special.  

We did not meet our daughter’s birth mother until the hospital. Our hope is to open up to visits but right now she’s requested to keep it at pictures and updates. We hope to connect a lot more in the future and want her to know how much our daughter is loved!
